READINESS SKILLS
VERIFICATION PROGRAM (RSVP) INTRODUCTIONS AND LESSON
PLANS
RSVP is
the readiness portion of your AFSC-specific
sustainment training. Units will implement
this program IAW AFI 41-106, Medical
Readiness Planning and Training.
RSVP is designed to ensure all members with
a fully qualified AFSC maintain adequate
skills to perform their duties during
wartime, humanitarian assistance, homeland
security/defense, and disaster response
contingencies.
RSVP is mandatory for all personnel assigned
to a Unit Type Code (UTC), if a RSVP skills
checklist is available on this website for
their respective AFSC.
“D” coded UTCs: Personnel assigned to a UTC
with an AFWUS code beginning with “D” must
complete RSVP training for the AFSC of the
UTC position they are filling.
“A” coded UTCs: Personnel assigned to a UTC
with an AFWUS code beginning with “A” will
complete RSVP training based on their duty
AFSC, as skills checklists become available
on this website.
Your Unit Medical Readiness Office (MRO) can
tell you how your assigned UTC is coded.
RSVP task frequencies are based on the AEF
rotation of the individual’s assigned UTC.
Therefore, RSVP task frequencies are aligned
with AEF rotation timelines, e.g. Q20M =
every 20 months or Q40M = every 40 months.
Personnel must complete all RSV tasks for
their AFSC prior to the beginning of their
AEF on-call period.
Each RSVP skills checklist on this website
was created by the SG Consultant and/or the
Career Field Manager for their respective
AFSC(s). These skills checklists were
coordinated with and have Air Force Reserve
Command and Air National Guard approval.
The RSVP skills checklists and database are
updated every six months, as updates are
required. All RSVP skills checklists are
periodically reviewed/revised/updated by the
SG Consultants/Career Field Managers to
ensure tasks are relevant to the various
readiness missions of the AFMS.
Each unit MRO will ensure a gap analysis for
each AFSC assigned to their unit is
accomplished. Each unit appointed AFSC
functional manager will notify the Medical
Readiness Staff Function (MRSF) or Executive
Management Committee (EMC) of task(s) that
cannot be accomplished by their unit, in
writing, to include reasons why they are
unable to accomplish this training. This
report will be attached to the MRSF/EMC
minutes. Unit MRO will compile this data and
forward to their respective MAJCOM MRO.
MAJCOM MROs will forward unit RSVP training
limitations to the Air Force Expeditionary
Medical Skills Institute (AFEMSI) at
usafsam.iec.rsvp@brooks.af.mil
For RSVP content questions, please contact
your unit’s appointed AFSC functional
manager and he/she will contact the
appropriate MAJCOM Functional Manager or AF
SG consultant/Career Field Manager, if
necessary.
