●  AFI33-360V1 Publications Management Program, states inChapter 3, Paragraph 3.2 that there is a finite period of time, 120-days, that a policy or interim guidance publication remains in effect before it needs to be replaced by an AFI or other directive.  However, it also states that AF policies and interim guidance will REMAIN IN EFFECT regardless of the 120-day restriction, whether or not they have been superseded by AFI or directive.
